The House style distinguishes itself through the dominance of Pinot Noir which gives strength, complexity and elegance to our wines. The 2012 vintage was exceptional in Champagne. Despite challenges earlier in the year due to frost, the resulting crop was small but highly concentrated and of high quality. It’s in vintages that provide such great quality that give Pinot Noir its color and ripeness that is crucial to the production of Rose. The Veuve Clicquot Rose 2012 is fragrant with ripe red berry and sweet citrus peel that open up to reveal toasted brioche and spice. The palate reveals a crisp attack continuing the theme of ripe cherry and raspberry, but with an underlying minerality giving the wine structure. Toasted brioche, and flakey pastry follow accompanied with a prolonged fine and creamy mousse.
